My first ever beauty box!

This is a thank you post for the Vellvette team who have put together an awesome concept for girls like me!Sweet smelling bath and beauty things are adored and so are surprises!This combines both of my favourite things in a cute lil black box which smells so amazing that it makes you go Oooh! as soon as you reach for the ribbon.My february box is the one I have taken pictures of and I thought of sharing it with you as i was ordering my 3 month surprise gifts today.They made me fill up a questionnaire about my do,dont's,likes and dislikes which they keep in mind when they choose products for you.Amazing way to try new stuff without shelling out big bucks.Plus they work with mostly luxury brands so you're sure of the quality.Here's what my loot consisted of-

Bath and body works,forever sunshine lotion,59 ml bottle.

Figs & Rouge aloe and mint balm,full size.

Purely pro blusher in strawberry,full size.

I loved all three products is the first thing I have to say.I love almost all bath and body products so this was no exception,the lipbalm can double as a use anywhere balm and has aloe and mint,two of my favourite things and is amazingly addictive.And the blush!!I think you can figure how much i love it when i say my mac blusher and this one stay in the same box since i used it the first time.It has amazing staying power even in mumbai heat and humidity and blends so easily.And oh,i forgot to mention the cute lil "be my vellvettine" fridge magnet that i got from them:).They have made quite a few gals very happy this february.My only worry is that they don't go the same way quite a few boxes and things that are as nice as this are wont to and end up sending us mediocre stuff a few months later.Here's hoping the vellvette team stays happy and prosperous and keeps sending us as good,if not better stuff!

Moved again:D!!!

Heya,the first post was meant to be on here quite a few months back but what with moving house and changing cities thrice in the first year of marriage...yes..thrice,hold the gasps please!!The throes of being newly married,make you look forward to things like these through rose coloured glasses which seem to have the gasp!you've shifted how many times effect on mere mortals;).Now that we seem to be in one city and happily settled,atleast for the next few months,I intend to prattle on here quite a bit!Since i was going on about ways of combating zits and such in my last post,I would like to mention I had a revisit from the spotty monster which even my trusted gel and pack could not help me with.I resorted to using a benzoyl peroxide soap,the mildest i could find and using it has magically cleared me up again.Now,since skin and hair are quite a big part of the nice thing about us gals,hair it is this time.The three metros have and my constant travels to and from them along with all the beaches and hills we have been to had taken quite a toll on the hair as well.Am pleased to announce that it is a thing of the past for me now.The biotique kelp cleanser and thyme conditioner have helped a great deal along with aromamagic's stimulate and flaky oils and my hair is back to it's silky glory.Even have quite a few lil hair growing back which the first few weeks of marriage and the sindur had damaged:).I am pretty pleased with myself for these discoveries and hope they help you as much as they did me!

Spotty tales...with happy endings!!

Soooo...day one..hope I find all of you in shiny happy spirits!!I shall be writing about everything that I hold dear and anything that catches my fancy and might be of use to any of you out there.The first thing that comes to mind today would be this amazing face pack and cream that has made me so happy.When I moved to Delhi from Kolkata post marriage I had heard so much about Delhi having a dry climate that I was happily looking forward to the summers because I was pretty certain that it would be the first summer after my teens when I would be spared the wrath that the combination of oily skin and humid summers wreak.But it became very clear to me with my husband and bai asking me what was up with my skin that the hair could wait,it was my skin that was my problem child needing attention right now!!What made me really sit up and decide to do something was when my mum and sisters saw me on Skype and were filled with horrified gasps about the red dots all over my face.After using random face packs I decided to fall back on my tried and tested fabindia.Nearly everything I have used from them seems to suit my skin and I decided to give them the last try before I went to the doctors.Within a single day the my skin seemed so calm!To the extent that it made A ask me if I had done something to make the redness lessen!You would not believe the grin that split my face!Today marks the third day of my regime and I'm happy to say fabindia has won my trust yet again.The wonder products I'm raving about are the clove gel face pack and the clove acne control cream. Now,enough of the mindless praises..it worked for me and we shall get down to the gritty details of the product.the face pack first,a 100ml bottle of the stuff comes for rs225 which is good enough for quite some time since it spreads very nicely and even the thinnest layer seems to work just fine.Another thing that I loved about the pack apart from loving the clovey aroma was that the gel is transparent and even if you have to open the door to the courier guy you are not likely to be arrested for scaring the guy into an early grave or scaring the next door kids and making them believe in monsters.The pack contains water,glycerine,lactic acid,sodium hydroxide,phenoxyethanol,imid urea,clove oil,patchouli oil,orange oil,cinnamon oil,allantoin as the acting ingredients and you can just feel the natural goodness of all the oils working on your skin.The cream is like a light whipped mousse which contains glycerine,tea tree oil,clove oil,vit e,lactic acid,imid urea,cedar wood oil,allantoin as the chief ingredients.It has to be used twice a day to work effectively but I s results with a single application as well.It makes your skin tingle because of all the oils working on your pimples but the it is so worth it when you have a look at your skin a few hours later.Again,a 100ml bottle comes for rs225 and will last you a long time.The cream just like the pack smells heavenly and works beautifully.I,for one,am addicted.Till the next,cheers!
